Happy Labor Day! This week flew by. I feel like I just emailed. Yesterday was September second, do you remember what happened on September second last year? I was at work and dad texted me a photo of my mission packet, it was the day I was called to La Gran Mision Chile Osorno! Isn't that crazy?! It's been a year! I can't believe it's September. Mitchell comes home IN SEPTEMBER! Cassie turns 18! Ahhh. I got a little sick this week. Nothing serious, vomiting and diarrhea all day and bloody noses - just kidding - sorry Mitchell - I just had a cough, headache, and couldn't breathe out of my nose. But it was only bad for a day, but now my companion has what I have - and he has asthma, so he's suffering a lot more. Yesterday, I'm pretty sure he had an asthma attack. We were eating lunch in the capilla and he left the room really fast. I went to see what was happening, and his face was all red, teary eyed and he was gasping for breath. "Uh...are you okay?" (I know, stupid question!) "Yeah, I'm fine." "Uh...no" We called an hermana who had a car, rushed him to the consultorio, and began breathing treatments. Some people might call me a hero, but I was just doing what anyone would've done. haha, but the sad part is - I didn't have my camera on me - so when he had the gas mask on, I couldn't take any photos. I told him he reminded me of my dog Bentley, because he had to do the same thing. He didn't like that too much. Other than that, this week in Lago Ranco has been pretty normal. Mamita told me I'm a great Sunday School teacher and Hermana Nancy asked me if I was going to go into teaching after the mission, haha. The photos are Sunday after the consultorio, the doctor said he has to take a few days off. Which has been kind of interesting. I've eaten a lot of icecream, but besides that - staying in the house is kind of boring. As far as investigators go, we're working as hard as we can to find them. Sadly, Mario and Corina don't want anything to do with us anymore. Depressing, but we battle on. I know there are people here waiting for us, we just have to find them.
I hope Cassie is having fun with the Schniders (I can't believe you guys got to see Alexa). Emree, Rett and Rye look all grown up going to school. Eva, I forgot to tell you last week, all the photos of Cassie are ahmazing. I'm really excited to learn how you edit. Me gustó. Aleksi, take photos of NY for me! We'll go again when I get back - Please, try and find the NY temple - everytime I see it in the Liahona, I think it is the COOLEST thing because it's right in the middle of the city! Send me a photo. Mom and Dad, enjoy your day off together, I got the package with the jeans - they're exactly what I wanted - thank you! Mitchell, I'm so glad you've been having so much exito! Finish strong - don't give up. I love you guys!
Love you,
Love,
Elder Maxwell Poirier
