All Hallows Eve.

I left Gainesville today.
Said some sad goodbyes.
and off I drove.
I was picturing everyone that I was going to have to say goodbye to,
and I lost it.
I mean, friends are hard enough,
but family,
dogs?!
Vomit.
I needed something to distract me from the awful feelings I was having,
so I stopped at the Snider's.
Best decision.
Harry Potter Halloween anyone?
Oh yeah,
and I locked my keys in the car which was super annoying.
Eva and Joey told the kids that they were going to dress as
Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore,
when they were really dressing as Bellatrix and Voldemort.
So when Eva came out of her room in full costume screaming,
"I KILLED SIRUS BLACK! I KILLED SIRIUS BLACK!"
They were not only surprised,
but overwhelmingly terrified that the woman who they deemed dead according to the last movie,
had come back to get them.

Gryffindor quidditch players, Ron Weasley and Harry Potter.
Emree as Hermione completed the trio.

So if Eva and Joey are Bellatrix and Voldemort,
Rett, Rye, and Emree are Harry, Ron and Hermione,
Who is Rita going to be?
Only Harry's most trusted owl,
Hedwig, of course.
Cutest Hedwig ever.
Also,
I think it's important to mention that Eva made every single costume.
From Hedwig's hair-pin mask to Voldemort's snakelike nostrils.
Those quidditch robes look store bought, but that's just how talented she is.
Every year,
it's how they do it.
Incredible, I know.
Time for those wizarding family photos:
 "Yer a wizard, Harry."

"You've said to us once before,
that there was a time to turn back if we wanted to.
We've had time, haven't we?"

 "Get draaaaco."

"Give it here Malfoy, or I'll knock you off your broom!"
 "Eat slugs!"
"Stupefy!"
 "You will lose everything."
"The boy who lived, come to die."

 "Nobody.
There are no more horcruxes. It's just you and me.
Neither can live while the other survives,
and one of us is about to leave for good."

Long live Harry Potter.
Best costumes, hands down.
I'm so happy I got to see them all wizarded up.
I love the Sniders.
Happy [Harry Potter] Halloween.

Empanadas.

I made mama proud tonight.
Seventeen empanadas.
 From scratch,
minus the dough.
but you know.
Beef.
Olives.
Hard boiled eggs.
Onions.
Raisins.
Chilean empanadas.
Man, so good.
It was basically my birthday,
all my friends came to celebrate.
Alexa.
Kate.
Eleni.
Allie.
Marissa.
and my new friend Becky.
While Marissa and I were outside saying our potential two year goodbye,

my camera was hijacked.
Check out these beauty queens:

Get it girls!

Group shot.
Modellus Allie.
[and please notice Eleni in the background...yeah...]
Ok, I have to take a moment and talk about how amazing Marissa is.
Last year when I was at UF,
she was there and let me vent and talk and became a really great friend.
She's one I'll miss a ton.
Well,
it was a sad goodbye to say the least.
She got me all this cool stuff for the mission.
A reversible beanie,
a super nice tie,
a scarf,
and this:
The official Harry Potter blanket with sleeves.
Marissa.
You are amazing.
I am going to look so freaking cool.

Satchel's Pizza.

Gainesville.
College life.
Gators.
Party.
Whoo.

Kate made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast.
Yum.
What a good friend.
They were so delicious,
thanks to Colin's World Famous Pancake recipe.
After our breakfast,
I met up with Sharise and Becca and we went for a leisurely walk on campus.

Sharise is an engineering major,
not very jealous of that one.
and Becca is an Art major.
The things I do in my free time,
she does for a grade.
How very different my college experience would've been.
That little green monster is alive and well,
but that's alright - I've got a plan that I'm going to begin in about two years and eighteen days.
Engineering for Digital Arts and Sciences.
That's the plan,
for right now at least.

Campus is nearly beautiful during this fall season.
It was surprisingly a little chilly.
and guess who's playing at the Reitz...
Harry Potter!
and it's playing tonight!
Yes, fate!
Oh wait,
it's playing the day I leave.
That's unfortunate.

Glad I got to meet up with these friends.
Allie invited us to go play soccer with handicapped children as part of her volunteer work for class.
Charitable work,
soccer.
I'm in.
I'm a chilean soccer star, you people don't know anything.
Kate and Chris too.
Not soccer stars, just in it for the charitable work part.
Oh and Becky too.
Get it, like Becky from the movie The Little Princess.
She's the first Rebecca that's asked me to call her Becky...
I mean, if she likes it....

It's all fun and games until Allie whomps the ball on top of one of the kids.
"She did it! This girl!"
But she feels really bad.
Becky got really into it,
we didn't know we actually had a soccer star among us.

Good work students.
Oh and by the way,
the ball that Allie almost mauled a kid with,
is in the background of the photo above.
The one that's seven times the size of a normal soccer ball.
 I have cool friends.
Dinner at Satchel's.
Best pizza place ever.
Shame I just discovered it.

 Trendy and hip.
What a neat place to eat.
They had a little gift shop in the back.
Any random trinket you played with as a child is probably on display or being sold.
They had tons of retro cool watches,
I almost bought three --- but they weren't for sale.

And the pizza,
OH YEAH!
you know how when you're so hungry, anything tastes good.
Well imagine being so hungry and then eating genuinely good food.
It can't even describe.
Chris' half: bacon, pineapple and feta cheese.
Alexa's half: tomatoes, green paper, and basil.
D'awww.
We dropped Chris off and drove to Payne's Prairie.
It was a perfect night,
clear and cold.
Really, really cold.
and so many stars.
We even saw a shooting star,
it was so great.

Being the adventurous rebels we are,
after the parade of cars passed by - we took some action shots
in the middle-of-the-road.

We're cool!
Such a fun night.
