Sea Urchins.

A bunch of sea urchins.

I didn't bring my mask and snorkel to the beach because I thought it would be too choppy.
I was right.

I could only find sea urchins.
I did find this one sea slug.
I went to pick it up,
but right when I had it in my hand it inked;
bright - magenta ink exploded from it's body.
It's too bad I couldn't photograph that,
by the time I ran to get my camera and made it back - it was gone.

It was a pretty day.

I found this monster on my way inside.
Oh yeah,
and I started my mission papers today.
Whoa.

Memorial Day

Celebrating the heroes,
who've fought, are fighting, or planning on serving this great country.

 Doing it the only way we Poirier's know how;
Good food.
Good friends.
and - of course - jumping photos.

"I need to work on my jumping faces."

 I couldn't agree more.

The parents talked - and talked.
So Cassie and I had our own celebration.
Sparklers.
Sparklers.
and
 some swimming.

Christopher Cantrell

Let's see.
My earliest memory of Chris was in Ms. Marinelli's art class in middle school.
Not exactly sure what grade - but we sat at the same table.
Chris, Jackson Brown, and Sam Krebs were always making glue people.
We looked like this:

Becoming friends in high school,
and good friends senior year.
An unlikely duo,
Christopher and I have become.
Diving.
Cross Country.
Biology.
Chemistry.
Pilot slash Marine Option.
Engineering for Visual Arts and Sciences.
Never reads this blog.
Writes this blog.
Ornithology.
Photography.
Killing Lizards.
Throwing already dead moths into the pond.
No religious beliefs.
Latter Day Saint.
Avatar.
The Titanic.
Chinese Fireball.
Hungarian Horntail.

At least we can agree on some things:
Harry Potter.
Star Wars.
X-Men.
Emma Watson.
Coral Cove.
That 2012 isn't going to happen - wait - Chris believes that.
Sitting in the back of the hulk is better than the front.

I'm really glad we're friends.
We've had some unforgettable times;
The Harry Potter World adventures,
snorkeling at coral cove,
getting the cops called on us for the 'mysterious' vehicle,
talking with the workers at Islands,
figuring out all the secret passage ways in Hogwarts,
sneaking past mother alligators,
 everything.

You're 19 brotha.
Cu-rah. Cu-rah. Mitin' chin.
[That's the Marine Option chant, I bet you didn't know that]
[You should probably write that down]
