I finished this film about a week ago.
I started it in January and finally got it developed.
It all began the day of Cynthia's and my 15K.
it's the only photo of us running - so I had to put it here.
Photo one, Cynthia crossing the finish line.
So proud.
The after the race victory photo.
I wish I had a better I-just-ran-9.3-miles-face
but you are what you are.
and I am a red nosed, pale faced monster.
I started the race, not really thinking I would be able to finish,
but I did.
and it felt really rewarding - I was high on the endorphins.
We both got new personal records,
1 hour 17 minutes and 43 seconds - not bad for my first time.
It was a perfect, chilly race day.
Chris and I took a pottery class at the Reitz Union this semester.
I'm really glad he told me about it.
It's been so fun and I've really enjoyed learning about the art of pottery.
I can now make bowls, cylinders, mugs, pitchers, and plates.
Chris is a lot better than I am,
I think it's because he's way more patient than me.
I just want it made as fast as possible so I can glaze and paint.
Patience, young grasshopper.
I laugh looking at some of my beginning bowls - like the one below -
because even though I made them on the wheel,
they just look like I carved them with my hands.
This day.
The day we were so bored we made a music video.
Since then, we have a grand total of 12 views on YouTube.
Take that Rebecca Black.
February 4th, Alexa's 19th birthday.
I accidentally plaid matched her.
Chris and I went to show Alexa our pottery work - and it was closed.
The College Weekend dance at the Institute.
Bustin' moves, I didn't even know I had.
Just kidding - I totally knew I had them.
The awful prision I'm forced to live in.
One more month.
One.More.Month.
Hah.
The day I got caught in the rain with no umbrella.
I still have yet to go and buy one.
Oh well, I had my rain jacket
[which has proved to be quite handy]
I had all my classes.
Pawnee.
and a rain jacket.
I got completely soaked,
but enjoyed every second of it.
Don't hang out with Kate or Alexa without your laptop.
because this is what always ends up happening.
They both go on and you're left to dance and sing by yourself.
Unless you can convince them to go to Mochi,
then by all means.
[I've only gone 2 times this entire semester - be proud mom!]
Randomly running into Joanna at the Reitz
and getting to talk to strangers and hand them fliers.
I mean, who is more qualified for the job.
It was perfect fun.
I thought Cassie would be super jealous of Joanna's hair,
she's always asking my parents if she can dye a blue streak or do something drastic.
I think it looks rad.
I guess this is something good.
College minus all the stress, studying, vomit, depression, homework, and muggles
is actually fun.
and I love my friends.
