We watched the morning session on Aleksi's laptop in the comfort of her Ghost house home,
while dad made us french toast.
Yeah,
this is pretty much how we do it in Florida.
Sunday morning session had some great talks.
Hard to choose my favorites,
but.
"The purpose of our life on earth is to grow, develop, and be strengthened through our own experiences."
"Love her mother."
"Communication with our Father in Heaven—including our prayers to Him and
His inspiration to us—is necessary in order for us to weather the
storms and trials of life."
Aleksi worked during the Sunday afternoon session,
but she was able to give her ticket to Cynthia,
She had never gone before.
First timer,
whoop, whoop.
On our way to the afternoon session,
we ran into Chanelle,
who was a missionary in the Gainesville branch while Cynthia and I were there.
So random.
Such a small LDS world we live in.
And here's that traditional Cynthia modelling shot you've been waiting for:
And now Conference is over.
"Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten and Beloved Son of God. … He is our
Savior from sin and death. This is the most important knowledge on
earth."
and
"While we do not know all the answers, we do know important principles that allow us to face tragedies with faith and confidence."
Seriously, such a great opportunity.
I know this is the true church.
We are led by a living Prophet, even Thomas S. Monson.
I can't state it any clearer than that.
Throughout history we learn that God has always appointed Prophets to lead His church,
if they needed them then,
why not now?
why not for us?
We need His help now more than ever.
Furthermore,
the leaders and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are not paid.
Every position is service based.
Every single position.
I love this gospel,
it all just makes sense.
Back at the Ghost house,
we went out for a sunset walk.
Utah is beautiful.
Sunset over the beach vs. sunset over the mountains.
"Do God's will and serve Him.
Every man, woman, and child plays a role;
May God give us the strength and determination to play it well."
-Thomas S. Monson.

ReplyDeleteHello Brother. I'm also a Latter Day Saint and it's nice to see a blog by an LDS. It's kinda rare. Very Impressive. God bless :)
