They say,
Friends come and go.
But I'm hoping these friends don't leave,
or at least
don't lose touch.
Because the going part is sadly, inevitable.
Fall term starts soon.
It's weird seeing everybody go back up,
worrying about new classes and apartment stuff and roommates.
But not me.
But not me.
As bizarre as this may sound,
I know,
but I'm not envious of them.
School.
Bike accidents.
Professors.
Studying.
No thank you.
Granted, a mission is no easy task - but it's a different kind of stress.
A stress I'm actually looking forward to.
This is not normal.
This is not normal.
This is Bandana.
I never know if it's a boy or girl.
It doesn't matter though.
Alexa left first.
I never know if it's a boy or girl.
It doesn't matter though.
Alexa left first.
Sad.
Today, actually.
And her mom was super nice and offered to make us all breakfast.
I know,
She's not like all the regular moms, she's a cool mom.
But for real,
eggs,
bacon,
home fries,
chocolate chip pancakes,
it was a gourmet meal.
Then Alexa left.
Chris, Kate and I went to Coral Cove for our last day snorkeling.
Maybe for a while.
Maybe not.
[Kate is practicing an old Dynamics move and Chris is modeling, in case you couldn't tell]
I took an entire roll of film while snorkeling,
it was a pretty exciting day, but I don't want to ruin it.
Lots of never before seen creatures,
the photos better do them justice.
[I know, this is probably the best photo of us three - no contest]
We separated for a few hours after the beach,
but reconvened at Kate's in the evening.
Her parents took Chris and I, Kate and Kelly
out for dinner at their favorite hole-in-the-wall steak restaurant.
I have some good friends,
and some good friend's parents.
It was really nice of them.
I mean, being Kate and Alexa's friend is no walk in the park so...
dinner well deserved.
Working on our camera faces.
Still have work to do.
Speaking of work,
after our delicious dinner
[meeting every expectation the Logan's set]
and not even mentioning the raspberry cheesecake dessert
[SO good!]
we went to see The Help.
A really great movie.
7.8
I'm an Emma Stone fan though, so maybe I'm biased.
She's hilarious though.
"You is kind. You is smart. You is important."
I'm not ready to say goodbye.

dont go
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready either. Too bad Kelly wasn't with us for any of this...
ReplyDeleteAnd how come no one got to take an unflattering picture of you eating??
