Extended family reunited at last.
Minus Mitchell, o'course.
I woke this morning to,
"Max is here?!"
"I didn't know he was coming!"
"Let's jump on him!"
crack.
No bid deal,
that was just the sound of a patella hitting my spine.
Being our only day to visit the Snider's at their home,
we had to plan the day right.
And no day is complete without some swimming in the sun.
[please notice Rita's expression of disgust, not sure why but it was directed towards me]
Canon ball contest.
Aleksi loses everytime.
We swam at the Munn's pool for a few hours,
played some Deathly Hallows - maybe casted a few forbidden curses,
left for lunch and then met Cappy the chimpanzee.
Yes, as in the monkey.
Near the Snider's house there's this man who is a retired circus worker
and there, on his property lives Cappy, a seventy two year old chimpanzee.
We got to meet her, feed her peaches and we even watched her
open a soda can with her feet!
What?!
Such a random find.
We left Cappy to go to the ranch watering hole,
aka a mini-homemade-backyard-cowboy-waterpark.
There was so much to do:
Rope swings.
Water slide.
Diving platform.
Normal platform.
Cold water.
It was so rad.
Jumping off that platform took a lot longer and was much higher than we thought.
It got less scary the more times we did it,
Aleksi screamed every single time though.
We even got Rett to jump off it,
a true Gryffindor.
Aleksi on the rope swings.
"I'm going to do it."
"I can't do it"
"I'm scared!"
"Ok, here I go."
"Wait."
"Ok, ok"
"No, no, no."
"Wwaaahhhhhhhh."
Look at that face.
Fear, pure fear.
You'd think that rope was the only thing between life and death,
I swear she had rope burn on her palms from holding on so tightly.
An exhausting day to say the least.
Love those Sniders,

ReplyDelete"O'course" like Hagrid says. Rita is just so adorable. And I'm jealous you got to meet a chimp!
