Second of July

Independence day celebrations
last an entire week here in Provo, Utah.
No for real, for the past few days
families  have been doing street fire works and roof top parties in prep for the fourth.

We picked Cassie up from EFY today.
Just in time for the big show.
Here in Provo,
the main firework show was tonight at the Stadium of Fire.
Brad Paisley. Air force Jets. Fireworks.
The whole nine yards.
[Is that even the saying?]

We met Cortney and her brother's family
at the BYU vs. The Pirates soccer game.
We didn't really know who BYU was playing,
we came at half time and got in for free and were mainly there for the fireworks.
After the game ended,
the crowd was allowed onto the field.
We layed down blankets and waited for the show to start.
It's basically for everyone who missed out on buying Stadium of Fire tickets,
aka everyone who was too cheap to pay for them but still wants to see the fireworks.

What a great celebration for the second of July.
If this is how Provo celebrates the days leading up to Independence day,
I'm pretty excited to see what actually happens on the fourth of July.

 Happy second of July,
may the festivities of our free country continue.
Go Freedom!
