The early bird gets the worm.
[and lots and lots of noseeum bites]
This morning,
Mary's last morning in Florida,
we started the day off dark and early at the beach to watch the sun rise.
I might as well tell you myself because Cassie's dying to say it anyway,
I looked up the wrong time for the sunrise.
There, I admitted it.
I looked up the time of the sunrise on Google and I was off,
but only by an hour.
We sat under the stars for a good half hour before we could tell it was slowly
[very slowly]
getting lighter.
After swarms of noseeums fed off of our I've-woken-up-too-early blood,
we moved down to the water where their bites were a little more endurable.
[Yes, I'm always this photogenic in the wee hours of the morning]
We woke up way too early,
sat on the beach for way too long,
to watch a the sun rise behind a cloud.
The entire sunrise was hidden behind a big-gordo cloud.
Florida, sometimes, really?
Mary was satisfied though;
this was the last major thing we did, good closure - you know.
Kate and Kelly joined us,
I'm pretty sure you could see that but I thought I'd clear the air in case anyone was confused.
They too, along with Mary and Cassie,
took for granted that I knew how to properly look up the sunrise time.
So we all suffered together.
"Why wouldn't you check more than one website?"
"Gosh Max, you're so stupid!"
Great sunrise,
not.
On the way home - guess who decided to come out behind that cloud.
Why didn't we just wait?
Muggles...
Woke up a few hours later,
Cleaned the house for Aleksi's later arrival and then drove Mary to the airport.
Back to the Okie state she goes.
It was a pleasure having her here in the sunshine state.
Farewell, Mary.
Mary's flight left in the afternoon and Aleksi's arrived in the evening,
so in the mean time Cassie and I met Jennie at this maze of a mall and shopped.
Jen's always good company.
[:B]
I didn't buy anything,
except food and shoes for Cassie?
What?
I don't even know how she does it.
And now Aleksi's home!
[and she just got me out of working this week]
Life is good.

1. Don't lie. You're obviously never working again. 2. You can't say some of those pictures still aren't pretty, good sunrise or not. 3. You finally took pictures of those phone line things!
