In-n-Out

I just bought a newly used 1.8 50mm Canon lens.
On Ebay, of course.

Yeah, I pretty much love it.
I can't stop taking photos,
which usually isn't the case?
No, but seriously it's like on hyper-drive now.
But I delete most of them,
take and delete, take and delete.

We dropped Cassie off at EFY today.
She was nervous about her roommate,
but we met her.
And besides her being cheerleader giddy,
she's super nice and outgoing.
Cassie will have fun.

It's six days, jeez.

Before Aleksi knew the dates that Cassie would be at EFY,
she bought Kid Cudi concert tickets.
Out of the three of us,
Cassie is the biggest KC fan.
I've heard a few songs,
but I only actually listen to one.
Rarely.
So, it was kind of a bummer for Cassie to find out that the first day of EFY
was the night of the Cudi concert.
Aleksi and I were mostly only going for Cassie.
However, Aleksi's coworker slash friend, Wesley, is a huge Cudi fan,
probably more than Aleksi, me, and Cassie combined.
For sure.
So this goes without saying,
but I'm going to say it anyway:
When Aleksi offered him our extra ticket,
he took it.
All of this happened around the same time Aleksi lost her iphone aka her life.
We were panicked because we didn't know how to reach Wes and tell him where to meet us,
give him his ticket, if we were riding together, etc.
So we broke into his house,
well Aleksi did.
She went inside but heard the shower running so we waited outside.

While we waited,
Aleksi discovered this creature in the groves in front of the house.
[I want to say orange but that's because I'm Floridian and all groves are orange groves]
Aleksi was walking around the driveway,
and then started moving slowly and tilting her head, concentrating hard on something in the distance
"Max. Max come here, is that real?"
"What - whoa."
Sitting in the shade of [an orange?] tree
was a large stag.
Harry was around.
His presence was felt closer than ever.
It was like the chapter in Deathly Hallows when Harry sees the silver doe,
except I know who cast this Patronus.

I've been waiting all trip to see some wildlife,
and the one time I do, I mess it all up.
I mostly shoot in "M" - meaning manual,
so when I was photographing the patronus in the shade my shutter speed was slow.
When the stag got up and started running away,
I was so preoccupied about getting those action shots that I wasn't thinking about my shutter speed,
which needed to be much faster.
Boo.
In color they look like vomit,
but in black and white they just look slightly overexposed.
Suxar.

By that time,
Wes had come out because he heard someone in his house,
weird right.
And soon enough, we were on our way to Salt Lake City for the Kid Cudi Cud Life Tour Concert.

No cameras were allowed inside.
What kind of rule is that?
First of all, everyone has a cellphone that can record/take photos.
Second of all, people will use their cellphones to record/take photos,
that's a given.
By not allowing cameras, you're not accomplishing anything.
Glad that's off my chest.
So the concert and I didn't start out on the right foot,
but I made the best of it.
Kid Cudi was kind of a tool.
[about a third of the way into the concert]
"TURN OFF THESE LIGHTS!
TURN OFF THESE LIGHTS OR I'LL RIP THEM OUT MYSELF!
There, now I can sing without gettin' eaten by them bugs."
Yeah.
The crowd was even more pathetic.
Combine a bunch of trashy teenage girls with ghetto highschool boys,
some beer, and lots of cigarettes
and you've got yourself a raunchy Kid Cudi concert.

Naturally, I still danced and made the best of the situation.
I had a good time, mostly because of Wes and Aleksi and people watching.
I just don't think I'll be going back to any rap concerts any time soon.
We ate at In-n-Out just like we were in-n-out of that concert, if yah know what I mean.
Good burgers though.
