Summer's picking up;
Cassie's [finally] out of school,
My neighbor and friend Becca recently graduated,
and my mission papers are a week from being completed!
Lots of feelings running through my mind.
Kind of excited,
a little more nervous,
and a whole lot of vomit.
I got two new pairs of glasses.
They're cool - like me.
Chris has been gone for a while now, we've skyped.
I guess I hung out with him a lot more than I realized
because besides work, I never have anything to do.
This morning as Cassie and I found our way into our church pew,
our parents showed us the program
and to our horror, we saw our names as the speakers.
"This is a joke right?"
It wasn't a joke at all.
Luckily for me, I had my talk from Okeechobee a few weeks ago when I went with my dad.
[He's a high councilmen in our stake so he goes to the other wards and branches and
speaks on behalf of the stake presidency].
Cassie wasn't so lucky.
"Mom, quick! Write me a talk!"
Yeah, it was an interesting Sunday.
We didn't end up speaking.
It was all a big mess of awkward confusion.
My dad tried to signal that we could speak anyway,
but the bishopric went ahead and spoke.
What can you do.
and just laugh it off.
