Einstein Montessori

 Have you ever walked into a room,
and then realized that everyone was just talking about you?
Have you ever had it happen, 10 times in a row?

I have. 

 

For the past several weeks, 

Kate and I have been volunteering at the Einstein Montessori School here in Gainesville.

I don't know how Cynthia does it, 

When we come, we only stay for three hours tops - that's enough to make anyone crave a nap.

These kids are hard work.

I've never felt so liked, 

I would walk into the room and everyone would stare at me 

and when the fourth and fifth graders came in, they'd shout, 

"Yes! Max is here!"

I didn't really do anything special, except talk in weird voices and draw things. 

I mean, I helped with their work sometimes too. 

These sixth grade girls apparently had crushes on me - and Cynthia would 

tell me things they would say, like:

How I smell like abercrombie? and look like Taylor Launtner? 

I'm okay with the smell one, but please don't compare me to a werewolf.

Today when I walked past them, handing out markers Shelby said, 

"OoOo he smells like abercrombie."

You know what! It's not my fault you're like, in love with me, or something!

During lunch I was told that some of the girls had moved on and started liking someone else. 

One of the other girls - Kayne - told me, 

"So how does it feel to have been dumped by sixth graders?"

Wait Regina, I didn't mean for this to happen!
What? To find out that everyone hates me? I don't care!

Rude.

I'll miss these kids though:

It's been fun. 

We couldn't leave without getting a pic with the one person who made it all happen. 

Ms. Gordon, 

the best science teacher ever.

I'm sorry that people are so jealous of me... but I can't help it that I'm so popular.
