Spring Break

Today was my ideal spring break day.
I couldn't ask for more perfect weather.
Jaw dropping - eyebrow raising - perfect.

and those all add up to make:

I wish I had a real panoramic technique for my camera.
but photoshop works alright I guess.
Cassie and I went to Coral Cove, which is starting to become my favorite beach,
only because less people go there than the Refuge.

I know it might look like it was a "Cassie Photoshoot "
but that's because it basically was.
At 12:45 I finally convinced Cassie to let us swing by Kados
and snorkel for a little bit because it was high tide.
I would say it was 70% clear, I've seen better - but it was still good.
I, of course, took some photos with my underwater camera,
but because the water was ice cold no one joined me so
I couldn't get the full body underwater shot that I have been dying for since I bought the camera.
Chris joined and then came back to Coral Cove with us.

We would've made Aleksi proud - Chris and I that is.
While Cassie sunbathed, we walked the length of the beach
and picked up trash.
Enviro-boys.
For such an unpopular beach - it sure had a ton of trash.
I think most of it washes in with the tides, which is sad because it means
that their is so much more trash in the ocean.
People are gross.

Mitchell emailed me this list of Poirier-jokes:
Cristobal (moms office)
hissing like a cat at people
"On behalf of the Poirier family, we present you with this peach cider!"
Wazzup!
Only you would put a plastic bag over your dig to take underwater shots
"Grandma, the yoohoos are ripe!"
Calling Aleksi Enviro-girl
You're obsessed with jumping photos.
You'd say hello to Mrs. Townsend
Giving Chance zebra stripes
"Hey honeyboo, whatchudoin?"
"My name is Salmon. Like the fish. First name: Suzie."

Good times.
Miss yah brotha.

We went to Chris' for a BBQ dinner
and then Cassie and I went to see
Red Riding Hood.
It started dumb and ended dumb.
The rest was good though.
I can't remember what exactly made it dumb, but
I will say - I was totally caught off guard by who the wolf was.
Definitely keeps you guessing.
and new favorite quotes:
"Why Grandma what big teeth you  have"
and
"I thought you'd say that"
I'll give it 3 stars.

Perfect day:
Beach.
Photos.
Family.
Friends.
Movies.
Today.

  1. Oh. I saw Red Riding Hood last night too, and I kinda liked it. A lot. It was super cheesy but in a fun way.

...Also Peter and Henry are both ridiculously adorable, but I guess that's one thing that would've been less meaningful for you.

  4. did you actually use photomerge to make a panoramic or did you just put the images next to each other yourself? it's really easy
