Yeah, guess who's back in Gainesville
[and really happy about it]
Not.
I already miss the beach.
and my bed.
I couldn't sleep for hours my first night back.
I tossed and turned for hours.
I miss Chesney too,
but that's a given.
I also miss being able to eat whenever,
and not having to ride my bike 1/2 a mile to get some food.
Whatever I eat - I burn off on my ride home.
and then I'm hungry again.
It's an endless cycle.
Diana Ellis
[one of my hometeach-ee's]
asked me to take her missionary photograph.
Luckily, I've experienced this before.
I happen to have taken someone's missionary photograph not too long ago:
[not the "missionary photo", but you get the idea]
I think it's really inspiring that Diana is going on a mission.
She'll be an incredible missionary.
I can't wait to hear where she's sent.
Well tonight was Jared Hann's birthday bonfire.
Jared and Nichelle are engaged
and I feel like I've been a part of their relationship.
Why?
Well, let's see - I knew them before they were dating,
and I was in the car with Cynthia when Nichelle called her to tell her Jared had asked her out.
And I was online when Nichelle's facebook status changed from "single" to "engaged"
So basically, I've watched their whole relationship unfold.
Nichelle made this rad cake - called the Lopsided Igloo,
large enough for everyone to have a huge slice.
Everyone except Cynthia - who decided to give up sugar for lent,
even though we don't do lent?
Well, bad news - you missed out.
Highlights of the bonfire:
1. Dancing for the latinas.
2. Cynthia not sharing her sugar free strawberries with anyone.
3. Oh yeah, when Chris Witt sat on the arm rest of a chair and it snapped off - and he fell on the ground.
Good times.
