Almost eight years now?!
Crazy.
We've definitely had our times, 

I was there when you were gothic. 

and you were there when I had buck teeth and a chipmunk smile. 

[I still can't help but laugh at these middle school days] 

nevertheless, we were friends 

Where does the time go. 

I know Alexa has her own version of how we met, 

but this is mine: 

6th grade. 

I was friends with this girl Katrina Romanowitz from 5th grade

and she was somehow friends with Alexa.

Katrina told me one day, 

 "Hey my friend thinks you're cute and wants to know if you'll go with out with her.

Meet her in front of Mrs. Anchrom's room tomorrow morning before school starts" 

[or something to that effect] 

How old are you in 6th grade, like 5?!

I had no idea what I was doing,

but I went, and I know this is true because I remember my mom telling Aleksi 

how to get out of someone asking you out if you didn't want to. 

[Not that I didn't want to, I just didn't know how to explain that I wasn't allowed to date] 

Anyway, I met Alexa and like my mom had explained, I told her I was "flattered" but 

that I couldn't go out with her, I may have even said I wasn't allowed to date. 

I don't really remember. 

I thought it was over, I didn't even know who she was before this

but then I got switched into advanced classes,

and guess who was in my Geography class. 

Bingo. 

and so the friendship began.

Cross Country.

"Harry, there's someone staring at us over by the church"
"What a happy place - to be with friends"
"I have to do this"
Alohamora.
"Why don't you like me?"
"Oh here comes the big speech"
"Sorry I'm not POOR!"

You've been with me through it all.
