Halloween.

Happy Halloween!

I can't believe it's already Halloween - it doesn't even feel like it.

After the BOO Dance I - in no way - was going to spend another weekend at UF and decided to surprise my family and come home. I didn't really surprise them because I told them I was coming but it was fun pretending they didn't know.
I loved coming home to a house all decorated for Halloween.
It just extended the list of why I dislike college.

I got home just in time to see Cassie off for the Stuart Halloween Dance.

She was a fish tank in case you couldn't tell.

Cassie really wanted me to go because [givin past experience] the Stuart Halloween Dance has never been too much fun. So being the nice brother that I am - I started all over with the Zombie process.
Yeah - that's true love right there.
Cassie's invited her friend Emily to come too - she dressed like an Indian.

I'm glad I got to see Adrienne - she's the only one who will dance as crazy as me.
We go way back.

Overall, the dance was pretty lame but we make the best of it.

It was the night before halloween - mischief night - and we were not about to let the opportunity to do some mischief pass us by.
Except that Cassie, Emily and I are too lame to think of a good idea that we waited until it got too late and we ended up just taking Emily home.
It was too late for us to drive all the way to Jupiter and then all the way back to Palm City - so count yourself lucky that we didn't come and get you.
Next time.

We brought forks with us so we could fork some random person's yard in Emily's neighborhood - but ended up not doing it because Cassie said it was littering [she is kind of right] so we just took jumping photos instead.

Cassie must've took her dose of Glee because her dancing moves were top notch.
Emily was locked outside so we partied with her until her brother came home.

"Hold my hand"
I wasn't going fast - I promise.

Cassie and I came home and watched our Halloween favorite - Hocus Pocus.

"Come little children - we'll take thee away into a place full of maaagic"

Halloween.

Cassie and her friends went trick-or-treating.
I stayed home and did math homework.
My dad and I took turns handing out candy.
My favorite costume of the night was some kid about 8 dressed as Avatar.
He looked hilarious.

I'm catching Cassie up on Glee.
and I am super depressed to have to go back to Gainesville tomorrow morning.

As I was saying my goodbyes to the dogs - just in case I don't see them in the morning - I noticed MacGraw's nails were painted pink - ahaha. I laughed to myself.

 too much, too soon?
[I'm not weird I promise - I just like my dogs - a lot]

Poor Cassie - she must be SO bored without siblings.

Just look at those eyes.

Boo Dance 2010

Finally.
The moment I had been waiting for ALL WEEK had arrived.
It was time to become - Zombified.
The day never seemed so long.
It just went on and on.
I was so anxious to get my Zombie on.
At 6:00 - I lost my patience - I couldn't wait any longer - I had to get ready.
And so the Zomby-process was begun.
Our "Before" photo:
and the transformation:
How to become a Zombie:
Step 1: Apply thick white Halloween face paste to your entire face excluding your mouth, nose, and eyes.
When you're skin looks like it's decayed then you're probably done.

Step 2: Apply thick black face cream to your eyes - then nose - and mouth.
If you're going for an "I just broke out of my coffin" sort of look then add extra black to your eyes and your mouth should look stitched - as if it were sown shut.

Step 3: If you're going for more of a "I'm back for revenge" sort of Zombie-look then Kate is your perfect model - light white face paste and dark black shadows around the eyes will work wonders.
Popping hot pink lip stick usually works best - and it doesn't hurt to add a little blood.

You know you're finished with your makeup when your roommate jumps just from the sight of you.

Step 4: Costume.
Male: Ripped jacket and ripped pants - stained with blood and applied with white "hair-dye spray" to make it look decayed and old.
Female: find the ugliest dress/moo-moo you can find - and decorate it accordingly [Goodwill usually houses the most useful ones] also sprinkled with "fake" blood and sprayed with white hair-dye spray.

Transformation was complete, we look good.
Don't deny it.

Marissa was brave enough to ride over to the dance with us Zombies.
But it was okay - we eat humans - not mice.

We had a little trouble finding the building where the dance was, but still somehow managed to get there before everyone else.

They had a Haunted House section so we decided to go through it while we waited for Flo - I mean Cynthia - to arrive. I'm not gerna lie - I jumped a few times.

And don't let Kate fool you - she got attacked by the guy in the wheel chair and she "yelped" - so I know she was just as scared as me.

I don't think the word "terrified" would justify how Marissa was feeling throughout the entire Haunted House.
I'm kidding, but she was scared too - or at least I hope I wasn't the only one that got scared.

Finally Flo showed up.
Didn't our costumes come out great.
Even the "Progressive" doesn't look so bad.

I was surprised when Cynthia's friend Melissa showed up.
[because I didn't know the dance was regional]
She is funny like Cynthia.

Favorite Things about the Dance:
1. Lots of food - there was LOTS of foods and snacks and drinks. Everything was decorated so cool and halloweenishly.

2. Dancing. I got a little crazy - but I mean - dancing is my element - or at least I'd like to think it is. Ok - I'm not even that good of a dancer - I can't do anything cool like break dance - but I'm not afraid to look stupid so I just do whatever.

3. Watching Cynthia dance - she's crazier than I am - I know right? Hard to believe.

4. Acting like a zombie all night - meaning: staring wide eyed at random people - looking as deathly as possible in each photo - and talking in a raspy voice. I really get into character.

Let's do the time warp again!
It's just a jump to the left
and then a step to the right.
put your hand on your hips.

Madness takes over.

So.Much.Fun.
I think it's safe so say - this was the best BOO dance I've ever been to.
At midnight - breakfast was served.
Bacon and Pancakes - the perfect breakfast for Zombies.

By the end of the night - my eyes would tear up every 15 minutes - because the makeup had dripped into my eyes and was burning like crazy.
It was worth the pain to look as zombie-like as I did.

I loved being a zombie.
But ouch - when the makeup starts pouring into your eyes - it burns really bad.

I'm glad Kate came with me - and was zombified with me - and danced crazy with me
We had a blast.

It was so hard to get all that makeup off.
I felt like I was scrubbing my face raw - and then I looked in the mirror and still had black circles around my eyes and mouth - it took me at least three attempts to clean it all off.
It was painful but it was totally worth it.

Yes - I know - by the end of the night I really did look like death.
