Lunar Eclipse.

Last night - early this morning -
Aleksi and I were supposed to stay up together and watch the lunar eclipse.

We had our night all planned out;
with movies
and popcorn.

But after the first one,
she ditched me -
and went to sleep.

I walked the dogs - around one - but the eclipse had just barely started.
So I went inside too - and fell asleep.

I randomly woke up at 2:15
I ran outside and got to watch the moon go from a quarter shadow to full shadow.
It was really cool.
But because the shutter speed had to go for at least two seconds - it picked up too much light
and you can't even tell it's an eclipse.
It just looks like a normal night photo.
Oh well.

It was a perfectly clear night.
So.Many.Stars.
I love being home.
In Gainesville - you can't even pretend to be star-gazing,
there's nothing to look at.

Well, it was beautiful.
Even if no one wanted to watch it with me.

  1. At least you got to see the best part! Even if the pictures didn't really come out. And aww, I wouldn've watched it with you. And I'm sure Aleksi too, if she could've kept her eyes open. I layed outside for soooo long watching, I love the sky. And I saw the best shooting star!
