Sweet Sixteen.

This past weekend I was able to go home - it was SO great. 

All my babies were so happy to see me, especially Chesney [of course]

Well they were really tired, but I could tell they were happy I was back.

On Saturday - we cleaned and cleaned in preparation for Cassie's Sweet 16th Party.

Because Cassie got her license [YAY CASSIE!] she drove me and Emree [the Sniders came down for Cassie's party] to get some last minute supplies and such. 

um - of course we sang glee in the car, it's kind of like a tradition now.

All grown up - oh well.

p.s. i love my cousins 

if I could give them any advice it's this:

Don't grow up

Hold on to your childhood

Be nice to your siblings [they're your best friends even if you don't realize it]

Life comes at you faster than you think.

At promptly 7:00 people started arriving for the party. 

Growing up and celebrating holidays and birthday parties with my moms side of the family it's kind of like an unspoken Hispanic tradition to ALWAYS be late - so we ALWAYS were, but so was everyone else so it was okay. For example, if you said the party started at 7, you wouldn't expect your guests to arrive until 7:30 at the very earliest. Needless to say, we were all surprised when mobs of people were waiting on our doorstep at 6:59.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and so we danced, or rather - I danced - and people watched me.
It was a Glow theme.

Then this girl came up to me and was like,
"if you turn off those lights and put the strobe light from above then more people will dance"
I didn't think it would work but I was like - whatever.
It worked.
and everyone started to dance.

While we were cleaning earlier in the day, we came across one of Aleksi's old halloween costumes.
A fake skin color tattoo sleeve - literally it's a "sleeve" that you put on.
Eva saw it and put it on.
It looked so real.
She wanted to see peoples reactions - which were quite funny.

"Is your cousin's tattoo real?!"

We had a full house - again - but I loved being able to see all my family and friends.

Because there was a strobe light - no one could really see what you were doing, but Sara
thought I was a good dancer? So she wanted me to teach her how to dance.
I'm sure if I was dancing in normal light, I would have looked really dumb - but I still wouldn't care.
It was so much fun.

and dancing.
